Keeping Your Progress In Check

Grading

Tutors will grade all assignments, tests, projects, and examinations. For uniformity, all grading will be done using a numerical scale. The grading specifications for assignments and projects will be determined by the teacher of the particular course or lesson. Nonetheless, a 50% score is the minimum to pass any such assignment or project.

The grading specifications for tests and examinations will be controlled centrally and will not be subject to the preferences of tutors. All tests will be graded with a score of 50, while examinations will be graded with a score of 100.

The minimum score to pass any test or exam is 50%. Any score below 50% will be classified as a “fail.” There will be no opportunity for learners to redo assignments and projects that they fail; however, there will be the opportunity to redo failed tests and examinations.

Any score between 50 and 59% of the total grade marks will be termed “credit,” between 60 and 69% will be termed “upper-credit,” while any score above 70% will be termed “distinction.”

Learners can only retake a test or examination once, and the maximum attainable score of such test or examination is 69% of the total grade marks. By implication, learners that fail a test or exam cannot get a distinction grade in that test or examination

For the overall grading after a semester, all assignments, projects, tests, and examinations will be considered. These will carry 90% of the grade. On this, examinations will carry 40%, tests will carry 30%, and assignments and projects will carry 20%.

The remaining 10% will be judged based on the learner’s conduct during the courses, and this is subject to the discretion of the tutors.

Attendance

All the lessons are self-paced, and learners will be free to take them at their convenience. However, attendance at lessons is necessary, as there will be assignments and projects after each learning session. Also, the responsiveness of students to lessons will contribute to the 10% conduct grade marks during the overall assessment.

Integrity

One of the best attributes of a writer is integrity. The trust between a writer and their client is just as important as the writing quality of the writer. This is why some clients will end a working relationship with a distrustful writer, even if the writer is a quality one.

Therefore, learners must comport themselves at the highest integrity level during the program. This means learners must avoid all dishonorable acts, including cheating, plagiarism, communicating in an offensive or insulting manner, and all forms of bribery.

Discipline

Writers found guilty of any dishonourable act will be subject to disciplinary measures, ranging from an apology letter to point-docking. Committing the same offence on multiple occasions or consistently defaulting learners can be suspended. The punishment doled out will be determined by the disciplinary committee of the academy.

Late submissions of assignments and projects will impact the conduct grade of the learner. Not submitting at all will not only impact the conduct grade but there will be no score for that assignment or project by the learner.
